Humans are resilient creatures. We adapt – on the outside. What’s happening to us on the inside?
We should all be wearing psychic masks to avoid spewing our discomfort, pain and fear on others. Blaming other people or institutions (like the government) isn’t going to work.
Sometimes my faith is enormous like I’m ensconced in a fluffy white cloud, floating above all the misery. Sometimes my faith is small, like me.
When all of this started back in the second week of March, I was terrified, mystified.
Weeks went by. We experienced grief.
Here’s where we are today:
Thoughts, beliefs, words are powerful things. I believe in the ultimate Goodness of God.
Acceptance isn’t the same as absolution. We don’t have to condone the stuff, we have to accept the stuff.
When I am 100% focused in this moment, my listening improves.
Pervasive and corroding, fear slithers in like a snake and weaves its way into the fabric of our everyday lives.
Fear prevents us from seeing how we can help. It blocks us. We can’t know where the need is because our compulsive self-preservation consumes us.
When we take this approach of being a community of people experiencing this together, we can shift from fear to responsibility.
